My previous relationship was one where i look backnow & think '"omg how the HELL did i stay with him for that long!!" he was manipulative, controlling, cut me off from my friends, inconsiderate and worst of all, he was teetotal. not the kind you don't mind, the kind who continuously nagged me (AND my friends!!) about drinking. Who on a night out in town would say after about 2 drinks "hadn't you better stop now? you don't want to make a show of urself" etc etc...and like i said, that was to friends too. I wasn't allowed to talk to other guys, or even other girls really, but deffo not guys at all.

Ok ok so the title may be a little misleading. However i have been sat here for at least an hour with an ice-cold strongbow, putting music and the like onto my new phone. It comes in 3 colours so i got the brown one for a change. I just thought it looked prettier!

It has a 3.2mpx camera, music player & best of all it's smaller than the old phone lol.
It even has its own wireless bluetooth speaker!! Me likey (coz it came free, i wouldn't have bought it!!)

And i also have the pleasure of knowing that 13 weeks tomorrow, me & Linzi are going here

for a week of All-Inclusive leisure & relaxation in the sun. God knows i need it!! heehee

In July 2003 my grandad died of cancer. We were quite close, and even though i was 16 i still stayed occasionally or went round for my tea a few time a month. I was devastated when he died. I felt like a part of me was missing. He was such an amazing person to be around and to have in my life. I remember how we used to sit & play chess or cards or dominoes, and how happy id be if i won because it was such a rare occurence. My nan died when i was a lot younger, about 7 i think? so i don't remember her as much but my grandad never used to let us see him down about it. I even wrote a poem for him, and for my nan. I want to print them and take them to the cemetary but i don't think they're good enough

I still miss him now, so so much.

Yes yes i do.... linz & I have booked a week in Gran Canaria at the end of Sept/start of Oct which means its gonna be nice an hot there while its freezin here yay!!
The hotel looks REALLY nice, and it cost us £350 each for a week AI, good huh!!

This morning i visited la dentiste for a filling. Yippee. Its the first one i had in years and i wouldn't have minded except for some reason i felt REALLY shakey & weak after i had the anaesthetic  and that never normally happens to me  worried. I ended up getting a taxi to work coz i didn't trust my legs on the bus! Then after all that i couldn't even feel my lip till after half 2, over 5 hours later!!!

Also on top of that i've had a twitchy eye for a few days and its REALLY bugging me!! Might have something to do with the fact my selfish & inconsiderate little sister decided to have her friends round sunday night & proceeded to make that much noise that neither me or andy got a wink of sleep all night AND my cousin who was staying had to change bedrooms to get some quiet and still couldn't sleep!! They finally shut up just after 6am which was annoying as us three actually work and had to be up at 7am. Hene the stressing.

On the plus side i got told i have got my nice sparkly permanent job, and i upgraded my phone to the pretty W890 Mocha yay i got a free 'portable wireless speaker' with it too!! And on the sunday coz i felt so run-down me n t'hubby sold our jovi tickets, so wen linzi came round me n her booked our holiday to Gran Canaria in Sept. Im waiting for the paperwork now...woohoo!!!

Hate is such a strong word....and i don't use it very often. Obviously some things blatantly warrant the use of the word, and the SuperLambBanana is one of those. I despise it. Its half lamb/half banana & its yellow. I can't even put into words HOW much i hate it.

I do, however, LOVE the new Go SuperLambBanana exhibit in Liverpool at the moment. I don't know if it's because they are a lot smaller, or because they are decorated quite nicely as opposed to just YELLOW?!?!?! but they are really nice!!!

So in other news i've quite enjoyed my random day off, my finances are well & truly sorted, I've got a permanent job, and..... *drumroll please* i'm looking at moving out heehee...... maybe thats why im sat here with an ice-cold strongbow listening to the new MoS Chilled: 1991-2008 CD

I don't know who wrote this but i found it on a website earlier today. I think it's really nice, especially because my cousin has recently been sent to Afghanistan. When i head about the 3 young Paras being killed last week - my heart stopped. It's only when i found out it was 2nd Paras that i stopped worrying as N is in 3rd. I still feel sad for the families, but relief at the same time - for now that is.

I booked some flights to Belfast today. Thought it would be nice to take the other half as i don't believe he's been to Ireland before. Oh well.
So we're going in November, just for a day or two. Go on a tuesday & come back on a weds so its a nice little break
And the best part is (apart from the fact its just me an my bubba going of course) is that INCLUDING the £4.80 debit card charge, i paid £4.84 for two return flights good or what!!!

In other news i'm STILL waiting for the call to tell me whether i have the job or not BUT sources tell me i DO have it wahey!! Thats good coz i do really like my job and i'm damn good at it too!!! I think the interview was just a bit of a 'formality' really.

Oh God. At 10am tomorrow i have an interview for....wait for it.... my job. I've been there for 10 months now but because of some stupid law they HAVE to advertise the job to the public and i HAVE to apply and have an interview. F*^k the fact i've been there nearly a year. F^*k the fact my holiday last month proved my team can't do the job without me or anything. Nope, instead i have to have an interview with 2 managers AND an independent assessor and hopefully pass, and if i don't,.... well i better start lookin for a new job. Thing is you see, i LIKE this job i really do!! it's interesting, it's challenging without being overly stressful and i like the people i work with.

....I am able to write about my holiday!!

I have to say... it was great!! It was SOOO hot over there...although at times it was a bit too hot. The beach was amazing, it was so white and the sea was crystal clear. Went snorkelling and saw loads of fishies too which decided to get really close. The hotel restaurant was amazing. There were so many different things to choose from & i even tried different types of fish...including catfish!!
There were three a la carte restaurants: a cuban, a mexican & an italian. We went to the first two an the food was just as yummy.

There was a swim up pool bar which is always good, get in the pool to cool off and drink while ur there. Only thing is... i discovered rum one day. Rum & Lime Slush to be more specific. Drank beer all day, then that from bout 4 onwards. Had our 1st booking at the Cuban that day so we went up to get ready bout 7:30, next thing i know i'm waking up an its 5am!!! oopsy. Had the mother of all hangovers the next day but at least it proves that i CAN get hangovers after all!!

We went on a jeep trip which took us to the mainland town of Moron, to a ranch & to a Crocodile Farm!!! EEK! Even though it had its mouth tied shut, it was still scary holdin the little croc purely because you know what they can do to people. We also went on a boat trip out to the mangrove forests & snorkelled in an area filled with amazing fish & birds. It was really good!!

The only other trip we did was to Havana. Yes...Havana. And i have to say that as amazing & interesting as it was, it wasn't what i thought it was going to be. There wasn't as much as an atmosphere or liveliness about the place i thought there would be. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying i didn't enjoy it, i was just a little disappointed. Oh well x

Well at least i THINK thats how you say "i'm sad to be home" anyway. Got back to sunny england around 7am this morning. I've currently been up for just over 34 hours with no sleep...and in betwen landing and nod i've also been to work for a few hours!!

I have to say though that the holiday was fab! Amazing weather, good fun, great company & the mother of all rum-induced hangovers. lol.

I'm too tired to carry on writing right now so to be continued......
