  • Holidays, New Sunnies, New Start

Thank you to everyone for their kind words, it really DOES help to know there are people out there who care.

We did the charity walk this morning, and i worked out that once i collect in all my sponsor money i have raised approx £190!! Thats better than i was hoping for.

I'm off to pick up my new sunnies later. That's the last thing i need to get for my holiday now and i'm all sorted. Just need to work out what i want to pack to take with me!!! Lol.

They look like this but with grey sunglass lenses in them:
    glasses2glasses

So im hoping that by getting away from it all for a coupla weeks is going to help me feel like i have control over my problems and give me a new start. And if not then i want it to at least give me a tan!!!

  • In aid of the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths and the memory of Ellie

As some of you may remember, in November 2007 Ellie Catherine Roberts died. She was just under 6 weeks old. She was a first child, first grand-daughter and first niece. The coroner recorded cause of death as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Obviously the whole family is heartbroken but with the help of their family and friends, and the help of the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) they are managing to come to terms with what has happened.

Not only does FSID research into the causes and prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) it offers free counselling to the families, putting them in touch with people in their area who have had a similar experience i.e. a young mum with a young mum, a granny with a granny.

I know it's only a mile, but the Mile in Memory walk taking place in Liverpool next week is a national event aiming to promote awareness of the cause, to raise money for it, and for the families to find others like them. I’m not asking for a lot, just whatever you can give. Imagine how you would feel if it was YOUR baby or YOUR first grand-child, then think again about how YOUR small donation could help thousands more like Ellie's family

Please visit www. justgiving. com/in_memory_of_ellie and donate something. Everything you can give helps. Thank You
